Marissa Hoppe ★ General Manager
General Manager of the Carmel City Center location since early 2016, Marissa Hoppe began her career with Matt the Miller’s as a server after being referred to the restaurant by a former employee of hers from Savannah, Georgia. This long-distance referral makes sense since Marissa spent much of her life moving every three to five years – a fact she credits with helping her to communicate well with others and adapting to change easily.
Starting in the restaurant industry at 19 as a host, Marissa quickly moved up from there and has done everything in the business, including both Front of the House and Back of the House operations, while taking classes at University of Missouri and Columbia College. She moved to the Indianapolis area with her fiancé, and they hope to make their way to the coast since they share a love of the ocean.
When she is not at Matt the Miller’s, Marissa enjoys spending time with her family, including her fiancé’s kids, Nicholas and Alena, riding her bike and exploring local parks, and practicing yoga. She also is an avid birder.
Chris Parker ★ Regional operations Manager
Chris Parker is a Sandusky, Ohio native who started his CLB Restaurants career as a bartender at the original tavern location in Dublin, Ohio. A Mass Communications graduate of The Ohio State University, Chris is a natural communicator and connector. His background and personality make him the perfect fit to grow the CLB Restaurants brand in the Indianapolis region through Matt the Miller's Tavern.
His favorite aspect of being part of CLB Restaurants is the family-like atmosphere and the feeling of accomplishment when the team achieves goals together.
Chris is a sports and dining guy -- he plays basketball, tennis and golf, enjoys bicycling, working out and travel when he's not out trying new restaurants. Be sure to say hello and meet Chris Parker on your next visit to Matt the Miller's Tavern.
